What are your aspirations for 2024? How do you see growing your distribution business?

We will focus on adding new investors. Additionally, we will continue following up with existing clients and encourage them to increase their SIP amounts which can help them realize their financial aspirations faster. Likewise, we will also focus on increasing business through lumpsum.

Which new business skills are you desirous to learn in 2024? And why?

Going digital is the need of the hour and instrumental for business success. It plays a key role across business functions. We would like to improve our digital usage in marketing, transaction execution as well as back-office operations.

Which investor category do you sense is still untapped and should be explored in the coming year?

Merely 6% to 7% of the investible population choose mutual funds for wealth creation. This hints at untapped potential in the retail segment and the vast scope it offers for business expansion. We would like to concentrate on bringing more retail investors to the MF fold.

Lastly, how can the MF industry add more women investors?

Continuous knowledge sessions exclusively for women can give them the confidence and conviction to start investing in mutual funds. Also, keeping it simple by conducting jargon-free sessions can make women investors more comfortable with mutual funds.
