    Which fund houses have a strong representation in B30 cities?

    SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF are the top three and only fund houses to manage over Rs 1 lakh crore of B30 assets, each.

    SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF are the only fund houses to have a B30 asset base of over Rs 1 lakh crore each, reveals an analysis of December 2023 average AUM data. They occupy the top three positions and individually manage Rs 1.86 lakh crore, Rs 1.10 lakh crore and Rs 1.03 lakh crore, respectively.  

    Nippon India MF and UTI MF occupy the next two positions with B30 assets of Rs 79,067 crore and Rs 64,737 crore, respectively.  

    Aditya Birla Sun Life MF (Rs 55,458 crore), Axis MF (Rs 51,527 crore), Kotak MF (Rs 41,345 crore), Mirae Asset MF (Rs 23,466 crore) and Tata MF (Rs 22,951 crore) are the next top-five fund houses in this space.   

    Proportion of average AUM in B30 cities 

    In percentage terms, eight fund houses have over 20% of assets in B30 cities. With 31%, Union MF takes the lead here and is the only fund house with a proportion of over 30%. At 27%, quant MF has the second-highest proportion.  

    While Mahindra Manulife MF (24%) follows next, Bank of India MF, UTI MF and Canara Robeco MF have 23% each of such assets. Likewise, the proportion share of PPFAS MF and SBI MF is 20% each.
