AMFI data shows that the MF industry has 7.64 crore live SIP accounts in December 2023. Of the total 7.64 crore live SIP accounts, 3.67 crore accounts are from T-30 locations and 3.96 crore accounts are from B-30 locations.
AMFI data also shows that majority of these SIP accounts are in growth plans of equity funds. These schemes account for 83% of the total live SIP accounts or 6.35 crore SIP accounts in December 2023.
Hybrid schemes has the second highest number with 45.63 lakh live SIP accounts. Interestingly, index funds stood at third position with 28.40 lakh live SIP accounts.
