    These three fund houses contribute 34% of the total MF industry’s folio count.

    An analysis of folio data shows that Nippon India MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF are the top three players in terms of folio count in April 2024.

    Nippon India MF has the highest number of MF folios at 2.49 crore. The fund house accounts for 14% of the total industry folio count. The MF industry had 18.15 crore folios in April 2024.

    Next two in the list are ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF with folio count of 2.03 crore and 1.70 crore, respectively.

    These three fund houses contribute 34% to the total industry’s folio count.

    SBI MF and Axis MF secured fourth and fifth spots respectively. While SBI has 1.49 crore folios, Axis MF commands 1.24 crore folios. Not far behind is UTI MF with a marginal difference on the fifth spot.

    Among other fund houses in the top 10 are Aditya Birla MF, DSP MF, Kotak MF and Quant MF. Interestingly, Quant MF occupies the tenth spot in the folio count ranking. In terms of AUM, the fund house stands at 19th position.
