    At Cafemutual Ideas Fest (CIF) 2024, Ganesh Mohan, CEO of Bajaj Finserv MF shared some tips with MFDs on creating a powerful value proposition. 

    Ganesh started his session by stating that India’s GDP will get double in 7 years. As a result, the MF industry’s AUM will grow by 3 times, which indicates a lot of opportunities for MFDs in distribution business.

    Ganesh said that MFDs should learn to adapt to the changing trends to grow business.

    Sharing some tips, Ganesh said that behavioral finance is getting heavily introduced in the field of investing emphasizing that the fund management industry needs to manage their own biases while dealing with the biases of investors. He added that MFDs should focus on behavioral aspects, quantitative modeling and macros to add value to client’s lives.

    Ganesh shared two key points for MFDs to adapt to this new era - Digitize and Diversify. He said that MFDs can scale their business by 10 times without having to increase their business investment with the help of technology. He also underlined how MFDs need to diversify to cater to all the needs of their investors be it mutual funds, FDs, credit cards, home loans, etc.
