Ask Circle, the Kolkata based mutual fund association, successfully held the 16th edition of their annual Mutual Fund Round Table (MFRD) from Aug 2 to Aug 4 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai.
It hosted over 650 MFDs and more than 100 industry experts from various fund houses and platforms. The event was themed ‘Elevate’ and also hosted exclusive award ceremonies ‘Red Carpet Samman Awards’ on Aug 2 for mutual fund distributors.
The awards were based on various parameters that included growth, empowerment, awareness, purpose and impact. The list of winners of the award in each category is as follows:
- Growth and improvement – Sandeep Garg, Chandigarh
- Perspective and awareness - Partha Pratim Chattopadhyay, Parents Financial Services, Howrah, West Bengal
- Empowerment – Ruchika Verma, Real Value Financial Services, Delhi
- Fulfillment and purpose – Neeraj Arya, ACE Wealth, Delhi
- Influence and impact – Suresh Kakani, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
- Resilience and adaptability – Saibal Biswas, Kolkata
- Holistic development – Ramkrishnan V Nayak, Dakshin Capital, Chennai
The event gave MFDs great opportunities for networking and gain insights on the intricacies of their profession and the latest trends of the mutual fund industry from their successful counterparts and industry veterans & leaders from leading AMCs.
The ASK Circle team led by President Asish Kumar Dey, Vice Presidents Amit Rathi and Abhinav Agrawal, Secretary Govind Dhanuka and members of managing committee – Rajesh Mehta, Narendra Dugar, Kamlesh Kumar Prahaladka, Sanjeev Mundra, Bhavesh Shah, Kanak Jain, Suresh Mohta, S K Bagaria, Aajay Beell, Shiv Kumar Mohta and Bikramaditya Bhaduri were widely praised for this initiative by the participating MFDs and sponsors.
The ASK Circle group was formed in June 2007 and held its first annual conference in 2009. Going by the enthusiasm, MFRT 2025 which is scheduled to be held in Pune has already a healthy response from the MFD community.
