Bollywood Actor and Producer John Abraham started his investing journey with mutual funds by investing his first pay cheque in mutual funds.

John was sharing this story on a popular podcast show of Ranveer Allahbadia.

Sharing his experience with mutual fund investment, John said that he got a job of media planner with a salary of Rs.6500 after completing MBA. He said, “My expenses were very less. In fact, I used to spend Rs.6-10 per day on meals. I used to save some money and invested in equity based mutual funds. That time, I booked profits of Rs.60,000 in three years.”

Sharing his mantra to create wealth, John said that he doesn’t believe in splurging money in luxury items like vehicles. He said that there is no point in buying Rs.4.50 crore on a car or spending heavily on shoes and bags.
