Annual report card: SBI MF, ICICI Pru MF and HDFC MF record highest AUM growth in one year

An analysis of AMFI’s AUM data done by Cafemutual shows that SBI MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF recorded the highest AUM growth in the last one year.

SBI MF saw a massive increase of Rs. 2.71 lakh crore in its assets size between September 2023 and September 2024. The fund house recorded 33% growth in its AUM.

While  ICICI Prudential  MF holds the second spot with AUM growth of Rs. 2.60 lakh crore in one year to reach Rs.8.41 lakh crore in September 2024, HDFC MF occupies the third position by adding Rs. 2.34 lakh crore to its AUM kitty.

Other fund houses who saw an increase of over Rs. 1 lakh crore in their AUM include Nippon India MF and Kotak MF with an increase of Rs. 1.99 lakh crore and Rs. 1.36 lakh crore, respectively.

Following these top 5 players are UTI MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, quant MF, Mirae Asset MF and Axis MF who record the highest AUM growth in the last one year.

In terms of percentage growth, Bajaj Finserv MF recorded the highest growth with about 300% increase in its AUM during the one year period.

Whiteoak Capital MF, Quant MF and JM Financial MF have also shown impressive growth with about 200% increase in their AUM.

Shriram MF and Groww MF complete the top 5 with an increase of 160% and 140% in their AUM.

Other AMCs who saw over 100% increase in their AUM are BOI MF, Motilal Oswal MF and Samco MF.
