    Axis AMC has appointed Nandik Mallik as its as Head - Equity & Hybrid for its proposed SIFs. The fund house aims to maximize the potential of the new asset class with this appointment.

    Nandik has over two decades of experience as a financial services professional. His educational qualifications include a B Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur, PGDM in finance from IIM Kolkata and a master's degree in finance from London Business School. As a portfolio manager, he has previously worked as a CIO for Avendus Capital Alternate Strategies, as Head - Alternates for ICICI Prudential AMC and as a fund manager for Edelweiss Capital.

    Commenting on the new appointment, B Gopkumar, MD & CEO, Axis AMC said, “Nandik's combination of strategic vision, practical experience, and market knowledge will be key in growing our equity and hybrid offerings in the SIFs space as and when Axis AMC gets an approval on this product category. He is an expert in derivatives, and we are excited to have him on board. This appointment highlights our dedication to providing innovative solutions and maximizing value for our investors.”
