    Leo Puri is the new AMFI Chairman

    A Balasubramanian, CEO, Birla Sun Life MF will continue to be the Vice Chairman of AMFI.

    In its board meeting held today in Mumbai, AMFI has named Leo Puri, MD, UTI MF as its new Chairman, said two officials who attended this meeting. Puri has replaced Sundeep Sikka who was appointed as the AMFI Chairman in 2013.

    A Balasubramanian, CEO, Birla Sun Life MF will continue to be the Vice Chairman of AMFI.

    Meanwhile, Kailash Kulkarni, CEO, L&T Mutual Fund has been appointed as the Chairman of the Financial Literacy committee.

    In the recently held AGM, AMFI had given extension to Leo Puri, MD, UTI MF, Milind Barve, MD, HDFC MF, Vikaas M Sachdeva, CEO, Edelweiss MF and Saurabh Nanavati, CEO, Religare Invesco as Directors on AMFI board.

    Currently, there are 15 members in AMFI board of which seven are from top ten fund houses and four each from mid and small sized AMCs.
