8 IFAs win the VIP pass for Cafemutual Confluence 2016

In a unique attempt to make Cafemutual Confluence 2016 truly participative, a contest was held inviting recommendations for speakers and topics.

IFAs participated enthusiastically in the contest to recommend speakers and topics for Cafemutual Confluence 2016.

Commenting on the entries, Ravi Samalad, Assistant Editor, Cafemutual, said, “Many interesting topics and speakers were suggested, right from Raghuram Rajan to Sri Sri Ravishankar. We finally selected those eight entries which met the criteria of the contest. We will consider the recommendations seriously and include them wherever feasible.”

The main criteria were:

The speaker and related topic should add value to the theme “Today’s Vision, Tomorrow’s Reality”.
Hatke (unconventional) yet relevant recommendations speakers and topics

the self declared various associations representing the distribution fraternity of mutual funds have to be extracareful of their past- some of them forming the association with the sole purpose of negotiations with AMC for an exclusive tie up leavimg apart many others for getting the extra funds and foreign trips - Most of the associations not even registrred. when we have formed a uniited front to fight for our rights on such a big challenge ahead of us questioning our existence one has to be extra careful about ethical part and investor protection. SEBI has used this grouse against us and we have to vigilant that it should not recurr - i am pained to say that many associations have been doing back door negotiations with AMC locally with unofficial tieups not known to others and this is blatant violation of code of conduct and at atime when some of them will talk of how unfair the new regulations are.
