Tata Mutual Fund has appointed Gopal Agrawal as the Chief Investment Officer-Equities, said a press release issued by the company. In this role, Gopal will lead the fund management and equity research team. Gopal will be managing and co-managing several equity funds. He begins his new role on April 3, 2017.
Speaking on his appointment, Gopal said, “I am extremely delighted to join Tata MF and look forward to using my experience and insights in the mutual fund industry. I have joined Tata MF to serve the interests of our investors.” Prior to Tata MF, Gopal was the CIO of Mirae Asset.
Tata MF has also appointed Murthy Nagarajan as Head – Fixed Income. He will be managing and co-managing fixed income funds. He will also have the additional responsibility of leading the credit research team.
Murthy said, “It is my pleasure to be a part of the fixed income team at Tata MF and to be able to contribute to the growth and success of the organisation.” Murthy was heading fixed income at Quantum MF.

Tata MF manages assets of Rs.39,700 crore as on December 2016.
