UTI is launching an ambitious investor awareness campaign - Swatantra. The key agenda of this campaign is to educate investors about the nitty- gritties of mutual fund. The campaign will cover 500 cities which will be mostly tier II and tier III.

“Last year we covered tier I cities and some tier II cities but this year we will cover mainly tier II and tier III. Over 1000 IFAs are accompanying us in our entire journey to help us to conduct the campaign and spread awareness about mutual funds,” said a top UTI official.

The awareness campaign involves activities like - quiz, street play, educational classes and question-answer sessions. The activities will vary depending on the knowledge of the investors in different cities.

Besides this campaign, the fund house also plans to carry write-ups about mutual fund for 52 weeks in a leading news paper. More than 15,000 IFAs with their investors are expected to attend this campaign in various cities.
