Amitabh Chaudhry MD and CEO, HDFC Life has reportedly resigned. He will join Axis Bank as MD and CEO replacing Shikha Sharma who has been with the bank since 2009.
HDFC Life’s board will meet on September 12 to consider appointment of new CEO.
Chaudhry joined HDFC Life in January 2010. He has over 31 years of experience in BFSI and technology space. Prior to joining HDFC Life, he was associated with Infosys BPO Ltd as MD and CEO. He was also heading the testing unit of Infosys Technologies Ltd. He started his career in 1987 with Bank of America.
Chaudhry holds a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS, Pilani and is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad.
