ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has appointed Anup Bagchi as the new MD and CEO subject to regulatory approval.
“The board of IPRU Life has approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as MD and CEO for a period of five years, effective June 19, subject to regulatory and other approvals. For a seamless transition, he is appointed as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, effective May 1,” said the company press release.
Anup was the ED at ICICI Bank and head of the wholesale banking business. In the past, he has also been the MD & CEO of ICICI Securities.
The tenure of current MD and CEO, N. S. Kannan will end on June 18.
