After being roiled for some time now, mid-cap valuations have shrunk significantly as compared to large caps. But they are not any inexpensive just yet.
In the past two years, mid-caps have been hammered heavily as fund houses and high networth individuals have pressed the sale button. As a result, mid-cap stocks have seen significant price erosion and some have even fallen to their 52-week lows.
Most mid-caps have lost more than 50-70% of their market caps. In fact, more than 85% of all the listed BSE stocks have been in the red in the last two years.
