The size of schemes is always a debating point for many mutual fund investors. Many of them believe that elephantine schemes lose their agility and slowly start lagging their peers and benchmarks. Though it is yet to be conclusively proven, ETMutualFunds.com, as part of its year-end exercise, decided to take a look at the performance of the largest mutual fund schemes in India in 2019.
We looked at returns generated by schemes managing assets of over Rs 10,000 crore vis-à-vis their peers in the same category. We also checked their performance against their benchmarks.
