Mumbai: The substantial price correction in the small cap stocks since 2018 has turned the segment’s valuation attractive for investors. According to Anoop Bhaskar, head of equity, IDFC Mutual Fund the investors should start putting in money in small-cap stocks through lump sum and systematic transfer plans (STPs). The fund manager however recommends that the tenure of such investments shouldn’t be more than six to nine months against the usual practice of doing equally weighted SIPs for three to five years, since price would catch up leading to rise in the valuations again.
