Amid challenges, debt capital markets back on growth path

The current optimism in the debt capital market was hardly expected given the fact that the financial year started with various uncertainties. The scenario would have been really tough for debt market, but for the various regulatory announcements. The beginning of the financial year saw a sharp risk aversion to corporate bonds that was reflected in widening of credit spreads on the back of demand for moratorium on servicing of bonds similar to bank loans, resulting in uncertainty on underlying as asset quality.
