When Mumbai-based Sneha Sawant announced her decision to study in the UK, her father was caught off guard. Sending kids abroad is a dream for many Indian parents due to the promise of a fancy job, global exposure and top-tier education. According to the HSBC Quality of Life Report 2024, which surveyed 1,456 affluent Indians, 78% of parents either plan to send their children abroad for education or already have a child studying at a foreign university.
