    Donald Trump's stunning victory may have spooked investors across the globe today, but Indian debt mutual fund investors may have something to cheer about it in the coming days. According to investment experts, Trump victory brightens the possibility of further rate cuts in India. 

    Debt fund investors, especially those in long-term gilt and income funds, benefit the most from policy rate cuts. Debt mutual funds invest in bonds and bond prices and yields travel in opposite directions. This means when there is a rate cut, the price of bonds go up.
