    Who said that everyone chase returns only. Why does everything need be return based. What about the comfort of the investor? Also if a policy give 4.5 to 5% tax free return is better than it is better than fds because fds give 6.5 to 7% taxable. So you can calculate which one is better. Also even SIP and debt funds also can give negative returns which traditional policy will never give. And now when inflation have come.down to sub 5% it matches with the inflation which people are comfortable with so this argument is not correct

    I do agree with the point that it gives low insurance cover.
