Ajmer MFD Atul Kumar Vijayvergiya, Gwalior MFD Brajesh Singh and Bhubaneshwar MFD Sudhanshu Mohapatra conducted theme-based SIP drives last month in which they did over 100 SIPs in a single day.

Cafemutual spoke to these MFDs to know about their theme, the rationale behind it and how did they execute it.

This is how these MFDs conducted their SIP drives:

Atul Kumar Vijayvergiya of ABC Nivesh Yatra, Ajmer, Rajasthan

    201 SIPs of Rs.10 lakh on August 15, 2022

    Theme: Secure your retirement

Approach: On the occasion 75th Independence Day, we launched a campaign titled ‘Financial Freedom - ‘Kal ki nai shuruat ke liye’ (For the new beginning).

We first approached clients who had not executed any transactions in the last six months. We also conducted IAPs for over 200 staff members including professors and teachers working with a degree college and CBSE board Ajmer, Rajasthan.

In these meetings and sessions, we gave them wealth creation formula of ‘7500 X 12 X 25’ which said, a monthly SIP of Rs. 7,500 for the next 25 years can make their life financially secured post retirement. Such numeric illustrations stay with prospects and encourage them to start their investing journey.

These meetings were followed by follow up calls to address their queries and concerns about mutual funds.

    Investor participation:

65 investors, of which 58 were the first-time investors.

Brajesh Singh of RPL Wealth India, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh

125 SIPs of Rs. 3.50 lakh on August 15, 2022

Theme: Gift a Raksha Bandhan SIP to your sister

Approach: Since brothers give cash or gifts to their sisters on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, my wife Pooja Lodhi and I thought that we should encourage our existing clients to gift SIPs instead.

Along with me, my team members Ajay Kushwah and Nidhi Parmar collectively reached out to over 300 existing clients through phone calls and meetings. We explained to them about how gifting a SIP can secure their sister’s future. After every call and meeting, we shared with them the details of SIP drive to create recall effect. We also received some referrals post these calls and meetings.

    Investor participation:

Overall 60 investors - 48 existing and 12 new gifted SIPs to their sisters.

Sudhanshu Mohapatra of Subham Securities, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha

240 SIPs of Rs. 8.98 lakh on August 16, 2022

Theme: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and financial freedom

    Approach:

We approached clients who had not increased their SIPs for the last 3 years. Also, we organized a financial awareness program in which I invited second generation of the existing clients. The idea was to acquire millennial clients through this drive. We also approached leads who had attended our previous IAPs.

Since the theme was financial freedom, we largely talked about doing retirement planning to lead a stress-free retired life. I spoke to them about building retirement corpus through SIPs and generating regular income through STPs.

    Investor participation:

108 investors participated in the drive.
