Nashik MFD Sachin Karate of Varad Financial Services has trekked to the Mount Everest Base Camp at high altitude of 18000 feet (5400 meters) to hoist a flag carrying a message, ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ in Nepal.

This is his second trek dedicated to the campaign.  He took the campaign to the Sahyadari mountain range of Western Ghats by climbing over 4000 feet to promote ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign.

A firm believer that ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’, Sachin feels that the campaign has created demand of mutual funds among people which has helped him grow business. Hence, he aims to do his bit by taking this campaign to the mountains through trekking. He has been trekking since 2016.

Sharing his trekking experience, Sachin said that he and his group started preparing for this trek two months prior to the activity. “We started our rigorous physical training by running, cycling and exercising to increase our stamina. On April 30, we started our trek. Overall, it took 12 days to complete the trek. It was tough but the thought of making people aware of mutual funds kept me motivated in this journey.”

In a video message to people, Sachin said, “Despite lot of challenges, we made it to the Everest Base Camp. Similarly, investors should first set up a financial goal like children education and retirement and do SIP until the goal is achieved irrespective of market movements.”

    Here is the video.

Sachin further said that when he hoisted the ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ flag, many people approached him to understand about the mutual funds. “While I did not plan to do a knowledge session on mutual funds during my trek, many people approached me with their queries on mutual funds after seeing the flag. In my view, Indians have heard about mutual funds but they were not aware of the nitty gritty of mutual funds. Interestingly, many Nepalese also showed interest in knowing about mutual funds.”

Currently, Sachin manages assets of Rs.75 crore in mutual funds. Team Cafemutual salutes the spirit of this MFD and wishes him all the success.
