Visually challenged Kolkata MFD Piyush Rakhecha of Royal Eastern Financial Services recently accomplished the remarkable feat of completing the Chopta Chandrashila trek, one of the toughest terrains situated in Uttarakhand at the height of 12,000 feet.
This three-day trek requires a lot of physical strength and navigational expertise. However, Piyush trekked the green landscapes and steep ascents, which demonstrates his determination and resilience.
During the trek, Piyush faced many challenges. Sharing his experience, he said “It was extremely important to be mindful and a good listener while on extended treks. I walked for 7 to 9 hours continuously at a stretch and concentrating for that long was very difficult. However, my love for mother nature kept me motivated to overcome all challenges.”
Piyush shared that he aims to trek to the Everest base camp by the end of this year. He believes that trekking and exploring nature helps him disconnect with his work for some time. He said working as an MFD is one of toughest jobs as you need to be updated all the time and be on your toes to deal with clients.
Piyush manages an AUM of Rs 40 crore in mutual funds and Rs 60 crore across all financial products catering to over 400 clients.
