Atul Kumar Vijayvergiya of ABC Nivesh Yatra, Ajmer
Atul did 211 SIPs amounting to Rs. 11.72 lakh in a single day. Of these, 108 were registered online and the balance 103 SIPs were booked physically. Let us look at his story:
- Themed SIP for retirement, he organised seminars on retirement planning for investors in the age group 25 to 35 years
- Most of the participants have come through referrals. He also conducted sessions for corporate employees and associations
- Explained to them how SIPs in mutual funds can help them achieve successful retirement
- Over the last one month, he and his team met over 100 prospects and clients
- Facilitated both online and offline transaction
- Overall, 77 investors participated in the drive of which 56 were first time investors
Two key learnings:
- SIP drive focusing on specific goals like retirement gives the drive a purpose and makes it easier for investors to connect
- investors may be comfortable with physical registration, MFDs must provide them full support and gradually introduce them to online mechanism

This is for the fourth time in a row that Philip has executed a successful SIP drive. He did 101 SIPs totalling Rs. 2.95 lakh in a day. Here are the key highlights of the drive.
- Approached salaried individuals and NRI clients to participate in SIP drive
- Held one-on-one discussion with prospects and clients to review portfolio and increase SIPs
- Did follow up for 15 days before the SIP date
- Collected KYC documents and other needed details well in advance to ensure a smooth login
- 22 investors, including 4 NRIs participated in this drive, of which 8 were new clients
Two key learnings:
- All details including KYC must be collected in advance itself
- A meaningful engagement and timely follows ups with prospects helps in making the drive successful
Rajesh Sodhani, Sodhani Capital, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Rajesh along with his team Ajit Shah, Ankit Sodhani and Ritika Sodhani registered 353 SIPs amounting to Rs. 12 lakh. Here are the key highlights of the drive.
- Reached out to clients who have not increased their SIPs for two years
- Approached referrals and explained to them the benefits of doing SIP in mutual funds
- Conducted IAPs to spread the word about SIPs in mutual funds
- Overall, 150 investors took part in the SIP drive. Of these clients, 75 were the first time inveestors
Two key learnings:
- Existing clients and referrals through them are already acquainted with your style of working and may typically have a quick response time
- Educate investors before making them onboard
