Read on to find out the experiences of financial advisors on how website has helped them grow business.

In today’s world of e-commerce, many people prefer to do online research before paying for any product or service.

In order to generate high quality leads online it’s vital to maintain a strong web presence that attracts your ideal client. An informative and interesting website evokes trust and credibility from its visitors. The site creates a positive first impression of the firm.

Earlier we have covered several topics on how to create a good website, how to generate leads through website and discussed online and social media strategy. In this article, we show you some real life examples of how having a good website has benefited the advisors to grow their business.

Sharing his experience, Vishal Dhawan of Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors says, “Having a good website gives an edge over other who doesn’t have it. Many clients prefer doing online research before investing in any product or service. It would help if you have a user friendly website.  It gives you an opportunity to showcase your work and skills. Also, many prospective clients visit website through posts, article, blog, social media sites etc. giving an opportunity to connect with them. It’s not necessary that someone gets clients just because of a good website; however, lack of online presence may kill such chances of getting prospective clients. Apart from this, a good website helps in hiring. Aspirants usually go through the company website to glean information that helps them make up their mind on joining an organization.”

Even a basic website can create a good visibility for advisors, believes Suresh Sadagopan of ladder7 financial advisories. “Though our website is static, we have generated tremendous amount of traffic. We have put necessary information on how we work, what we do, what are the services we provide, testimonials and so on. Also, a lot of readers land on website whenever they see articles and quotes.”

“Website is like the first impression of advisors. Many clients especially young generation will definitely do research on your offering through internet. The next generation clients want their data available on the devices they use to access information,” says Goa based Rajesh Chheda of Finance Factory.

Delhi Based Rajat Dhar of Cogent Advisory feels that advisors can diversity their client base through website. He said, “A good website is very helpful for NRI clients to access information. Since most of our clients are NRIs or based in other cities, they get key information like portfolio details, product information, investment strategy etc. through our website which is also connected to social networking sites. In addition, the website gives you an international presence. We have a few international partners; all of them reached us through website. Also, 30% of our clients have come through website.”

Lovaii Navlakhi of International Money Matters strongly believes that website helps grow financial advisory business. He is of the view that website helps to generate leads and gives information to investors about the services. “A lot of investors visit your website before meeting you. Also, some prospective clients might ask about your website to know more.”
