My friend Kanak Jain recommended me to read a book titledBounce Forward: How to Transform Crisis into Success' by Sam Cawthorn. The book is based on the author Sam’s life who met with a car accident. He lost his arms and was in coma for a few days. The book shows how Sam used his accident as a launching pad to bounce forward to reach even greater heights.

The book shows how to fight and overcome any obstacle. It gives you an insight on how to reach new heights by overcoming your fears. This book has that ‘spark’ which boosted my morale.

Initially, I was scared to address a large gathering, especially Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs). Though I used to have perfect answers to the questions posed by the audience, I used to fumble with words. Now, my IAPs have a high conversion ratio of 50%. Now I can confidently address a gathering of 500 people.

This is an apt book for people who are going through a tough phase either personally or professionally. The book offers tips on turning adversity into success, creating opportunity during crisis, motivating yourself and boosting inner confidence.

I am a fan of Shiv Khera’s writing. One of my favorite books is ‘You can win’. The book is about building a strong attitude towards anything you want to achieve. The anecdotes in the book are apt and inspiring.

Further, the book helps us analyze where we are lagging, why we are lagging  and how to reach our desired goals. Reading the book made me realize what gaps I need to fill.

Another thing which I learned is having a positive attitude. Through this book, I learned that ‘Your attitude will decide your altitude.’
