Over the last few days, the covid-19 pandemic has forced all of us to work from home. We spoke to a few individual MFDs to know how they are coping with this lockdown and keeping things going.
Here is what they have to say.
Ashish Modani of SLA Financial Solutions, Jaipur
I start my day with a video conference with my teammates through Zoom app. I prefer using this app as it works well even on a low bandwidth network.
For file sharing, we use Google docs which can be accessed by everyone. We also use CRM (customer relationship management) software. By using CRM software, we know whom we have already contacted, whom we need to follow up with and what contact methods we have used and so on.
Rajesh Sodhani of Sodhani Investments, Jaipur
I speak to my sales team and operations team regularly through conference calls.
In addition, we have been calling our clients to know their safety, update them on their investments and markets and suggest them to invest more in equity funds.
In addition, I shot short videos on mobile phone for my clients to address their concerns related to market volatility.
Shifali Satsangee of FundsVedaa, Agra
We use apps like ‘anydesk’ and ‘teamviewer’ to share desktop/laptop screen with team members.
We have been using digital KYC and transaction platform to onboard new clients and execute transaction across fund houses.
One of the major challenges at this point is conducting review meetings with clients. Fortunately, I finished most review meetings in January and February. For the remaining ones who were unavailable at that time, I am conducting their review meeting through Skype, Zoom.
Another major challenge for me is dealing with clients who prefer physical transactions.
