Axis AMC Brand Equity PMS has crossed AUM of Rs.1000 crore as on August 31, 2019. Launched in January 2017, the PMS aims to pick companies with strong brands that can create superior margins.
In a note sent to Cafemutual, the AMC said that Axis Brand Equity invests in three types of brands: emerging, established and turnaround. While ‘Emerging’ brands are yet to become popular and have lot of potential, ‘Established’ companies are already popular. Similarly, ‘Turnaround’ brands were popular in the past but faded for a brief period. These brands have the potential to make a comeback.
