PMS AIF World is set to hand over ‘Smart Money Manager’ awards to some of the top performers in the PMS and AIF space. The jury comprising students and a professor from IIM Ahmedabad and a veteran fund has adjudicated the awards.

PMS AIF World will give these awards at its summit Crystal Gazing Next Decade of Wealth Creation for Investors. The event is on February 7, 2020 at Sahara Star, Mumbai.

For these awards, around 100 PMS schemes and 30 Category-3 AIF schemes have been analysed on parameters of risk-adjusted performance.

Kamal Manocha, CEO, PMS AIF World said, “We are ranking schemes on the basis of CAGR performance. Also, we are calculating risk return ratios by using the respective category benchmark to compare and conclude winner on the basis of risk-adjusted performance.”

He further added that the awards would be given for categories based on AUM, time periods and market cap. For instance, based on asset size of the scheme there are two broad categories: Funds managing more than Rs 100 crore AUM and less than Rs 100 crore AUM.

Similarly, there are different awards based on the market cap and different time periods like 1 year, 3 year, 5 year and 10 year. Overall, there are 12 categories in which top performing schemes in PMS and AIF would be awarded.
