    Who should appear for this certification?

    IFAs and relationship managers at banks and national distributors who wish to upgrade their knowledge about financial planning can appear for this exam.  Not as rigorous as CFP, Certified Personal Financial Advisor (CPFA) imparts you basic knowledge about financial planning. This program is not mandatory under any SEBI regulation.

     

    Which institute/body conducts the test?

    The certification is given by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM)

     

    How can you register for this test?

    The test can be given online on NSE and MCX website. You have to register on either of these websites. The study material can be also be downloaded. Upon registering and getting a confirmation you can see the companies which offer training for this program. Attending training is not mandatory.

    When do you get the results?

    The test is given online and you can see the results immediately. NISM delivers the certificate to your mailing address.

     

    What does the program cover?

    The program covers topics like financial planning, managing investment risk, measuring investment returns, investment vehicles, investment strategies, insurance planning, retirement planning and tax and estate planning.
