East India’s MFD association Independent Consultants and Advisor Association (ICAA) recently held its annual event for MFDs, ‘ICAA Mega Convention 2024’ from February 29 to March 2 at Sterling Resort in Puri, Odisha.
The event saw many stalwarts of the financial industry share their insights on various topics impacting the mutual fund industry. Notably, AMFI’s ex-CEO N S Venkatesh discussed growth plan for India’s mutual fund industry to reach AUM of Rs. 100 lakh crore.
Vikas SS, General Manager, Eastern Regional Office, SEBI, discussed the regulator’s three major objectives: protection, development and regulation. He also discussed SEBI’s initiatives to make increase MF penetration. Devesh Mittal from PFRDA discussed the opportunities in NPS distribution business for MFDs.
