    Over 600 IFAs bond at the MFRT 2019 conference in Hyderabad

    The three-day long event included sessions on business development and motivational for IFAs.

    IFAs across the country gathered in Hyderabad for the three-day annual Mutual Fund Round Table Conference (MFRT) 2019 organized by Kolkata’s Ask Circle group. Over 600 financial advisers attended the event themed ‘Awareness.’

    The ‘Awareness’ theme stressed on the need of financial advisors being proactive in terms of reaching out to clients with a bouquet of products to bring stability and longevity to their business.

    Day one started with AMCs giving presentations on their bouquet of SIP schemes. The objective was to enhance advisors’ knowledge on current investment options and help them serve their clients better. 

    Bhavesh Shah, President, Ask Circle urged IFAs to evolve with time and adapt to technological change. Prem Khatri, Founder and CEO, Cafemutual conducted a session where industry stalwarts discussed ‘what all should we be aware of in our business’. Sankaran Naren, CIO, ICICI Prudential AMC; Saugata Chatterjee, co-chief business officer, Reliance Nippon Life AMC and Vetri Subramaniam, group president and head of equity, UTI AMC were the panellists.

    Day 2

    IFAs like Manish Kothari and Nikhil Naik and AMC officials - Aashish Sommaiya, MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal MF, Peshotan Dastoor, National Sales Director, Franklin Templeton MF, Manish Gurnani, CIO, Reliance Nippon Life MF, Gaurav Goyal, National Sales Head, Principal MF and Amar Shah, Head, retail and Institutional Business, ICICI Prudential MF gave their perspective on the prevalent market scenario and showed the way forward.

    Anil Singhvi, Editor, Zee Business who had started his professional career as an IFA addressed the audience. He spoke about the need to have ‘heart to heart’ talks with clients to build trust.

    Amit Trivedi of Karmayog Knowledge Academy and Harish Rao of Simple Equation hosted the event in their Jai-Veeru style.

    Day 3

    On the final day, the focus was on generating awareness through attitude, skills and knowledge. Topics such as transforming passion to profit, clinical approach to client success, personal relationship mastery and assertive skills for peak performance were discussed.  

    Apart from these business development and industry related discussions, many motivational sessions also took place every day. Bollywood veteran Annu Kapoor, Anand Kumar of Super 30 and Bengaluru-based motivational speaker Rahul Kapoor were among the speakers.

    The ASK Circle group was formed in June 2007 and held its first annual conference in 2009.
