Ananta Barua, Whole-Time Member of SEBI will deliver a keynote address at the India’s first event focussed on passive funds titled Cafemutual Passives Conference (CPC) 2022.
Ananta is a commerce graduate and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Delhi. Additionally, he also holds a Diploma in Management. Before being appointed as a whole-time member, he served as an Executive Director of SEBI. Ananta has been in charge of various departments and has also been instrumental in developing different regulatory frameworks.
Also, CPC 2022 will host eminent speakers from India and overseas to interpret changing trends and spot newer opportunities. It will also host Deborah Fuhr, Managing Partner and Founder of ETFGI, an independent research and consultancy firm in London. She will talk about positioning passives in an active-dominated market.
Deborah holds a BS degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has also worked with BlackRock/Barclays Global Investors, Morgan Stanley and Greenwich Associates. Deborah has received ETF.com 2018 lifetime achievement award, 100 Women in Finance’s 2017 European Industry Leadership Award, and many such awards.
Luis Berruga, Chief Executive Officer, Global X will also take the stage to speak about passives as the new way forward for asset management. An MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Luis has also worked with Jefferies and Morgan Stanley.
Cafemutual will hold CPC 2022 on May 17, 2022, Tuesday at Taj Lands End, Mumbai from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
