Hailing from Delhi, Ms Fire of Bollywood, when asked how she came to be an actor considering since she is not from a filmy background, replied, “If that is how people chose professions, then I don’t think anybody would do anything outside their family business or profession. Fortunately, that is not how things work. Also, I wanted to act since I was young and I really enjoy acting.”

Speaking on how she selects a film, she shares that she checks if her role is interesting and revolves around the script. “I ensure that my role goes with the script. Investments, finances and more…

You will be amazed to know that Richa is a mutual fund investor and believes that everyone should invest in mutual funds through SIPs to earn better returns over the long term. Let us see what she has to share on her investment journey.

She says, “When I started my career, I did not pay attention to investments kyunki paise hi nahi the (there was no money). However, I am happy the way things have shaped up. My first investment was in LIC and currently, I am investing in mutual funds through SIPs because it is trending. I invest in mutual funds through an advisory firm. I do not invest in properties since the returns are not very exciting. In future, I think I will continue my SIPs and buy a property abroad. In addition, I deposit some portion of my earnings in recurring deposit every month to save for uncertainties.”

When asked why she invested through SIPs, she says, “I think everybody has passive sources of income and they should invest some portion of their earnings in the stock market and mutual funds through SIPs because these investments will remain attractive for another 20-30 years.”
