    MF industry welcomes 559 new MFDs to the Rs.100 crore AUM club

    Close to 2100 MFDs manage assets of over Rs.100 crore.

    The MF industry has welcomed 559 new MFDs to the Rs.100 crore AUM club in FY 2024, shows an analysis of AMFI data done by cafemutual.

    Our analysis shows that the number of MFDs managing over Rs.100 crore has increased from 1527 in FY  2023 to 2086 in FY 2024, reflecting 37% growth in the number of such MFDs.

    If we dig deeper, of the 2086 MFDs who manage over Rs.100 crore, 152 MFDs manage AUM of over Rs.1000 crore, 159 manage assets between Rs.500 crore and Rs.1000 crore and 408 MFDs manage AUM in excess of Rs.250 crore but less than Rs.500 crore. Finally, 1367 MFDs manage assets in the AUM range of Rs.100 crore – Rs.250 crore.

    The industry has witnessed good traction in the AUM band of Rs.100 crore and Rs.250 crore where it added 374 new entrants.

    However, compared to the total number of distributors of 1.56 lakh distributors, a meagre 1% of them have AUM of over Rs.100 crore in FY 2024, indicating huge opportunities for budding MFDs.

    Our analysis shows that these 2086 MFDs manage AUM of Rs.18.20 lakh crore in FY 2024. This shows that MFDs having AUM of over Rs.100 crore manage 58% of the total AUM of Rs.31.42 lakh crore under regular plan.

    In FY 2023, top 1527 MFDs were managing AUM of Rs.14.54 lakh crore, indicating a 25% growth in assets of MFDs with AUM of Rs.100 crore in one year.

    i think you should throw some light on people handling 30 - 50 crores, 50 - 100 crores as well...
    it will look good to see how many are really managing good amount with GST payments.
