You can now submit your annual self-declaration form online

AMFI has clarified that mutual fund distributors will have to submit their DSCs by June 30 to avoid forfeiture of commission.
    Nishant Patnaik Apr 24, 2020

Keeping in mind the nationwide lockdown, AMFI has introduced a new facility through which mutual fund distributors can submit their annual Declaration of Self Certification (DSC) online.

In a note, AMFI said, “We have been receiving requests from MF distributors to facilitate online submission of the annual DSC for the FY 2019-20 due to nation-wide lock-down imposed by the Govt. of India as well as the state governments in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and the social-distancing measures implemented by the local authorities and police. Under the current unprecedented situation, it is imperative for every individual to follow the social-distancing measures strictly and operate from their homes using alternate modes, and digital technology.”

You can visit AMFI website to submit your annual DSC online. Here is the step-by-step to upload DSC:

    • Download the DSC form by clicking here
    • Key in your details and sign the form by using blue pen
    • Get a scanned image of the form in any one format - JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF and BMP
    • Visit distributor corner on AMFI website again and login by using your username and password. If you don’t have log-in credentials, send an email from your registered email id to sd_amfi@camsonline.com. CAMS will send you user ID. However, you will have to set password by using ‘forgot password’ option
    • Upload the form by clicking on ‘update profile’ and choosing the option of ‘Self-Declaration’

Ensure that your name and signature are clearly visible on DSC form. AMFI may reject the form if it is incomplete, unclear and unsigned.

AMFI will send you a confirmation email after verification of the form. You can write to AMFI at sd_amfi@camsonline.com if you have any query on this.

Remember that AMFI has not given extension on date of submitting DSC. That means, you will have to submit your DSC by June 30, 2020 to avoid forfeiture of commission.

Why can they not offer a fully electronic option based on OTP, like they did when they wanted us to do FATCA for our investors?

Is it not pretty stupid to ask for a print to be taken, signed in blue and uploaded. During lockdown, where do we get a print from? They are not exempted essential services.

Like all others, why can they simply not extend the date?

Amfi should not assume that everybody is well equipped with printer as well as scanner

Offer Electronic option based on OTP for Self declaration .
Coming to Kyc for new Investors the same electronic option based on otp should be provided for New investors instead of Video kyc.
At this lock down period .,amfi should take easy mode of steps to do kyc for NI's.
    Most essential.

Actually the whole process of submitting the DSR every year is ridiculous. SEBI/AMFI should do away with it.

Why the transaction time for MF insurance is reduced to 12.30 and 1.00 from 7th April, now extended to 30th April even when capital market is open full time. Even full banking services are available. This is against the interest of millions of mutual fund investors and leave the market open to speculators and high networth corporate and foreign portfolio investors. After 20th April so many restrictions have Ben eased why this draconian measure only for mf

Same exercise, year after year is absolutely ridiculous. More so asking for printouts during the strict LOCKDOWN period? WHO'S going to risk going out and getting thrashed? And they won't understand the reason why I left home, to begin with. Please do give it a thought, in these tough times of a PANDAMIC, which is not going to end so soon, as we think. Suggest, please call it off.

This is not the time to discuss whether it is rediculous or good system. Let's do it on appropriate time. Let's focus on how to submit dsc in the most simplest way. May be OTP way works. FIFA can represent to AMFI
