You can now submit your annual self-declaration form online

AMFI has clarified that mutual fund distributors will have to submit their DSCs by June 30 to avoid forfeiture of commission.
    Nishant Patnaik Apr 24, 2020

Keeping in mind the nationwide lockdown, AMFI has introduced a new facility through which mutual fund distributors can submit their annual Declaration of Self Certification (DSC) online.

In a note, AMFI said, “We have been receiving requests from MF distributors to facilitate online submission of the annual DSC for the FY 2019-20 due to nation-wide lock-down imposed by the Govt. of India as well as the state governments in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and the social-distancing measures implemented by the local authorities and police. Under the current unprecedented situation, it is imperative for every individual to follow the social-distancing measures strictly and operate from their homes using alternate modes, and digital technology.”

You can visit AMFI website to submit your annual DSC online. Here is the step-by-step to upload DSC:

    • Download the DSC form by clicking here
    • Key in your details and sign the form by using blue pen
    • Get a scanned image of the form in any one format - JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF and BMP
    • Visit distributor corner on AMFI website again and login by using your username and password. If you don’t have log-in credentials, send an email from your registered email id to sd_amfi@camsonline.com. CAMS will send you user ID. However, you will have to set password by using ‘forgot password’ option
    • Upload the form by clicking on ‘update profile’ and choosing the option of ‘Self-Declaration’

Ensure that your name and signature are clearly visible on DSC form. AMFI may reject the form if it is incomplete, unclear and unsigned.

AMFI will send you a confirmation email after verification of the form. You can write to AMFI at sd_amfi@camsonline.com if you have any query on this.

Remember that AMFI has not given extension on date of submitting DSC. That means, you will have to submit your DSC by June 30, 2020 to avoid forfeiture of commission.

I am really surprised, still we are in the old era of procedure. As we are going for the renewal of AMFI certification, once in three years, this is more than enough. AMFI / CAMS / SEBI should view this seriously implement with immediate effect.

What a joke. If we have to print a physical form and sign physically then how can it be digital. moreover what to do with those distributor who don’t have printer at their home . Digital means complete digital . I don’t why AMFI is behind in all these things related to distributors. Even NJ takes online self declaration they why can’t AMFI

Amfi site is one of the worst service providers. The site does not take the login and not forgot password work.
Even after mailing so many neither my self declaration nor ARN renewal is happening.

I get the feeling that this meaningless annual submission is a disguised life certificate for continuing to pay brokerage

I agree with most of the advisors. Both options, online and offline should be kept for some time.
