In the wake of rising tensions with China, many MFDs across the country have participated in the boycott China campaign. In fact, many MFD associations have encouraged their members to boycott Chinese products.

One such association is ‘All India Mutual Fund Welfare Association’ (AMDWA). With over 500 members across the country, this association has been actively running a campaign against Chinese products for the past few weeks. All its members are avoiding the use of Chinese products. They are also aggressively promoting the 'BoycottChina' campaign on platforms like Twitter, Whatsapp and Telegram.

Further, the association has prepared a list of made in India alternatives that can be used in place of Chinese products and shared it with the distributor community.

Delhi distributor Sanjay Bhan, Secretary, AMDWA said, “Over the years we have been increasingly dependent on Chinese products. From gadgets to day-to-day essentials, everything is either made in China or cotains Chinese raw material. This needs to stop. China craves for a control on all neighbouring countries which is exactly what is happening at our borders. It is time we take a stand for ourselves and boycott products made in China. It is time we strive to become Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said Sanjay.

In a Cafemutual poll conducted last month, MFDs said that they have uninstalled all Chinese apps, pledged not to consume Chinese goods in future and promote the 'Boycott China' movement actively.
