Sharing the rationale, he said, “My aim is to take SIP to every household. Today, people know about SIPs in mutual funds but they do not know its benefits. Through these couplets, I want to spread awareness about SIPs. The idea is to highlight importance of SIPs and tell people that SIPs in equity funds are the right way to invest in equity markets.”
Abhishek started his mutual fund distribution business in 2017. He did his MBA from Pune and has worked with Reliance Mutual Fund (Nippon India Mutual Fund) for 8 years.
Abhishek invested his money through SIPs and was amazed to see his investment portfolio growth in 8 years. He recommended to his friends and family members to start SIPs. Very soon, he realized that many people do not understand the power of SIPs in mutual funds. Sensing an opportunity, he quit his job and moved to his hometown in Chhattisgarh to start his own distribution business.
Today, Abhishek has over 300 clients and manages AUM of Rs.6.50 crore in mutual funds. He has a SIP book of Rs.17 lakh a month. He largely caters to retail clients who are teachers and government employees.
