    SBI MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF: Top players in regular business

    These three fund houses collectively manage Rs.9.01 lakh crore of AUM under regular plan.

    An analysis of AUM data reveals that SBI MF, ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF are the top three fund houses in terms of regular plan AUM. They collectively manage Rs 9.01 lakh crore of regular assets. 

    SBI MF manages highest AUM under regular plan at Rs.3.17 lakh crore as on June 2023. ICICI Pru and HDFC closely follow SBI MF with regular plan assets of Rs.2.96 lakh crore and Rs 2.88 lakh crore, respectively.

    UTI MF, Kotak MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Nippon India MF and Axis MF manage over Rs 1 lakh crore each of regular plan assets and occupy the next five spots. 

    The top-ten list closes with Edelweiss MF and Mirae Asset MF which manage Rs 84,670 crore and Rs 82,766 crore, respectively. 

    Overall, the top 30 fund houses (in terms of June 2023 quarterly average AUM) have Rs 24.12 lakh crore of regular assets. This forms 54% of their total monthly average AUM as on June 2023. 

    At the fund house level, 24 fund houses have 50% or more of their average AUM in regular assets. With 92%, Mahindra Manulife MF takes the lead here. NJ MF and Franklin Templeton MF follow next with a share of 80% each.
