A report released by Bandhan MF ‘MF Trend FY 2022-23’ reveals that the AUM of individual MFDs grew from Rs 8.87 lakh crore in FY 2021-22 to Rs 9.62 lakh crore in FY 2022-23. This amounts to an increase of Rs 74,670 crore which is the highest across distribution channels.

The next highest growth is seen in the case of corporate distributors where the AUM increased from Rs 5.35 lakh crore to Rs 5.99 lakh. Fintech/RIA reflect the third-largest rise of Rs 43,547 crore.

While bank/PCG and NDs also reported growth, the AUM of direct plans declined by Rs 32,533 crore.

However, in pure percentage terms fintech/RIA reflect the highest overall AUM growth of 42%. “This is largely due to their strong growth and relatively modest size at this point in time”, said Sirshendu Basu, Head-Products, Bandhan MF said.
