    SBI MF, ICICI Pru MF and HDFC MF command the highest regular plan assets

    An analysis of AUM data done by Cafemutual shows that SBI MF, ICICI Prudential  MF and HDFC MF have the highest AUM coming from regular plans.

    SBI MF leads the pack with regular plan assets of Rs.4.83 lakh crore. The fund house derives 43% of its assets from regular plans.  

    Not far behind are ICICI Prudential MF and HDFC MF with regular plan assets of Rs. 4.65 lakh crore and Rs. Rs. 4.64 lakh crore. While ICICI Prudential MF sees 53% of its total assets coming from regular plans, such a proportion is 58% for HDFC MF.

    Nippon India MF is a distant fourth with regular plan assets of Rs. 2.63 lakh crore. Kotak MF has also recorded regular plan assets of Rs. 2.56 lakh crore in December 2024.

    Among other fund houses in the top 10 list in terms of regular plan assets include UTI MF, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Axis MF, Mirae Asset MF and DSP MF.

    In terms of proportion of regular plans with respect to the total AUM, Samco MF has the highest share of its AUM coming from distributors at 91%.

    WhiteOak Capital takes up the second spot with a regular plan forming 86% share of its AUM. Mahindra Manulife MF is third on the list with 85% of its assets coming from distributors.

    Taurus MF and Shriram MF round off the top five in this ranking with 84% and 80% of their AUM coming from regular plans.

    Other fund houses which have received healthy contributions from regular plans include Franklin Templeton MF, NJ MF, Sundaram MF, Union MF and Canara Robeco MF.

    Overall, the regular plan AUM of the MF industry accounts for 54% of the total assets. The industry manages AUM of Rs. 37.23 lakh crore under regular plans in December 2024
