myCAMS, a mobile application launched by CAMS for investors, has clocked Rs. 550 crore worth of transactions since its inception in April 2014, claims a press release sent by the company. Of this, Rs. 330 crore worth transactions were made in equity.
The app is being currently used by over 2 lakh users recording 1.25 lakh transactions so far. Of this, about 60% transactions were executed by self-directed investors and about 40% from investors with distributors. Further, release claims that 40% transactions are being executed from smaller towns.
The app allows users to view portfolio, invest, redeem, switch, set up SIPs, SWPs, add nominations, check bank details and so on.
CAMS services approximately 60% of the industry AUM.
