Morgan Stanley has filed offer documents with SEBI for Liquid Fund, Mid Cap Fund, Saving Plus and Ultra Short Fund
Mumbai: Morgan Stanley Mutual Fund has filed offer documents with SEBI to launch four schemes - Morgan Stanley Liquid Fund, Morgan Stanley Mid Cap Fund, Morgan Stanley Saving Plus and Morgan Stanley Ultra Short Fund.
Morgan Stanley Liquid Fund - An open ended liquid scheme, which seeks to provide returns, commensurate with low risk and high liquidity, through a portfolio of money market and short-term debt securities with residual maturity of up to 91 days. The scheme will be benchmarked against CRISIL Liquid Fund Index.
Morgan Stanley Mid Cap Fund - An open ended equity scheme, which seeks to generate long-term capital growth from an actively managed portfolio of medium and small capitalization equity and equity-related securities including equity derivatives. The scheme would allocate 65-100 per cent of assets in equity and equity related instruments of small & mid-cap sized companies. It would further invest up to 35 per cent of assets in equity and equity related instruments of any other company/ debt and money market instruments.
Morgan Stanley Saving Plus - An open ended debt scheme with two plans - Plan A and Plan B.
Plan A will allocate 80-100 per cent of assets in debt and money market instruments. It would further allocate up to 20 per cent of assets in equity and equity related instruments.
Plan B will allocate 65-100 per cent of assets in debt and money market instruments. It would further invest up to 35 per cent of assets in equity and equity related instruments/gold ETFs.
Morgan Stanley Ultra Short Fund - An open debt scheme with investment objective to provide liquidity, generate reasonable returns from a portfolio of money market and short-term debt instruments. This scheme will allocate 100 per cent of assets in money market and debt instruments.
Morgan Stanley Mid Cap Fund and Morgan Stanley Saving Plus will charge 1 per cent of exit load if units are redeemed within one year from the date of allotment.
Ritesh Jain, Lead Portfolio Manager- Fixed Income will manage Morgan Stanley Liquid Fund and Morgan Stanley Ultra Short Fund. Jayesh Gandhi , Lead Portfolio Manager- Equity will manage Morgan Stanley Mid Cap Fund. Morgan Stanley Saving Plus will be jointly managed by Ritesh Jain and Jayesh Gandhi.
