    The entrepreneur plans to start a health care firm with friends

    Rajan MehtaRajan Mehta, executive director of Benchmark Mutual Fund is all set to exit the mutual fund industry. He is on the verge of setting up a health care solution company named – Mycare Health Solutions Pvt Ltd with a few friends.

    When contacted by Cafemutual, Mr Mehta declined to make any comment but confirmed his exit. He joined the AMC in 2001 and has over 16 years of experience in the international and Indian financial markets. Before joining Benchmark, he was working with Merrill Lynch, London, as a vice president handling over US $ 150 million client assets as wealth manager.

    Rajan was a part of the founding team at Benchmark when it introduced ETFs in India at a time when very few people had even heard of ETFs. He has played a key role in establishing and growing this category in India.
