Vetri Subramaniam has been appointed as the Group President and Head-Equity of UTI MF. Vetri Subramaniam replaces Anoop Bhaskar who has joined IDFC MF as head of equity.
Prior to joining UTI, Vetri was as CIO at Invesco AMC. He is an MBA from IIM, Bangalore and has been associated with fund management and research for over two decades. He has also worked with Kotak Mahindra AMC and Motilal Oswal Securities.
In a press release, Vetri Subramaniam said, “I am pleased to join an Institution which has traditionally dominated the Indian capital markets as a mutual fund and a financial development institution. UTI has a rich tradition in Research and Fund Management, I look forward to using my experience in this area to help the organization strengthen its capabilities in this domain and serve investors well.”
Vetri commenced office from 23 January 2017 and has taken charge of research and fund management of UTI MFequity schemes aggregating approx. Rs. 35,000 crores.
