AMFI advertising campaign would draw investors towards mutual funds, feel IFAs

The recently launched AMFI campaign gets ‘thumbs up’ from IFAs

Most IFAs feel that the advertisement campaign created by AMFI would spread greater awareness about mutual funds. AMFI launched this campaign to educate investors about the benefits of investing in mutual funds

Suresh Sadagopan of Ladder7 Financial Advisories found the creative interesting. “The creative would at least build up curiosity among individuals. I feel an individual who has never invested in mutual fund would be curious to know about MFs,” says Sadagopan.

Rajesh Jha, Co-founder and CEO, Jain Investments too is enthusiastic about the campaign. “It is a good initiative to create awareness about what a mutual fund is and its benefits. I found the creative educative enough for first time investors,” feels Jha.

The campaign meets the approval of Amar Pandit, proprietor, My Financial Advisor. “The creative has been worked out in an excellent manner and should help in educating investors,” opines Pandit.

Sumeet Vaid of Ffreedom Financials feels the creative is brilliant but feels it is too early to say how successful it would be in actually getting more people in to the mutual funds fold.

A few feel that the campaign will not impact the investors much. “I don’t feel that the advertisement will really impact the audience as there is no story in it. The advertisement comes as a flash for a very short time and moves out, which will not help in proper education of investors,” said Jagadeesh R Pai, President Central Zone of All Kerala IFA Association.

Mukesh Chothani, President - GPVSM (Nashik Association) also feels that the advertisement will not impact investors or IFAs in anyway.

Most of the IFAs feel that the advertisement will achieve its goal of investor education and hopefully result in mutual fund investment.
