    R Ganesh quits as the CEO of Tata AMC

    Sources unsure on who the next head will be.

    Ganesh, who joined the company in June 2015, will no longer be the CEO of Tata AMC. Sources confirm that he has handed in his resignation. When asked who will be replacing Mr Ganesh at the helm of the institution, a top official of the company said that the board is yet to reach a consensus on this matter.

    Ganesh, before joining Tata, was the Managing Director at Blackrock Inc. He spent over 14 years managing global business operations including portfolio administration for institutional clients across locations in US, India and EMEA. He was responsible for performance measurement, portfolio valuation, custody operations and client reporting for institutional portfolios of over $ 1.5 trillion.

    He started his career with ICICI and Mees Pierson Curacao NV (Netherlands Antilles) prior to joining Birla Capital International AMC, managers for Birla Mutual Fund. He became the first Chief Executive Officer for Birla Capital International AMC Ltd.

    Tata Asset Management Company is currently the 12th largest mutual fund house in the country  with AUM of Rs43000 crore currently.
